Epic Fighting 36: Team Alpha Male vs. Jackson Wink MMA

Five of Team Alpha Male’s amateurs will load up the team bus and travel to the southern tip of California to meet the best that Jackson Wink MMA has to offer at Epic Fighting 36.

Epic Fighting, an all amateur MMA promotion housed in San Diego, has been experimenting with the concept of pitting one team against another. On November 10, 2017, Team Alpha Male, the elite squadron from Northern California, will assess where they fall in the pecking order of world class gyms by releasing their developing prospects from the nest to face New Mexico’s Jackson Wink MMA.

The representatives from Team Alpha Male include: David Klingsheim at flyweight, Amir Kazemi at bantamweight, Moses Daniyelyan at featherweight, Kaleio Romero at lightweight, and Daniel Zaragoza at middleweight.

If you’re unable to attend the Four Points Sheraton, pay close attention to the aftermath because in the last installment of Epic Fighting, the results were memorable. For instance, Kaleio Romero, in his first fight flying Team Alpha Male’s flag, suplexed his opponent into an unconscious state.

TPF 33: Results & Recap

Thirty-three events in the memory bank, and Tachi Palace Fights (TPF) continues to intrigue MMA fans for the future.

At TPF 33, the promotion attempted to crown a new champ at 135-pounds, sifted out which heavyweights will meet at TPF 34 for the title, and reminded its audience, either sitting inside the Tachi Palace Casino and Hotel’s Bingo Hall or streaming the show live on YouTube, of the region’s wealth of experience in the sport.

Though two bantamweights, Rolando Velasco and Rodrigo LIma, entered the TPF cage to claim ownership of the vacant TPF Bantamweight Title, Lima, unfortunately, forfeited himself from earning a twelve-pound trophy around his waist because he didn’t reach the necessary limit at the scale.

Along with sorting out the top of the heap in a lighter weight class, TPF’s executives pieced together a four-man tournament to determine who would compete for TPF’s heavyweight strap at TPF 34. Mohammed Usman and Mitchell Sipe, highly-touted prospects, finished their opposition in the first-frame and met face-to-face before doing so again in early 2018.

NorCal MMA’s Performances of the Night

Each of the nine bouts on TPF’s card scored a ten in the eyes of those beyond the cage’s walls, but several performances, which norcalmixedmartialarts.com awarded Fight of the Night, Knockout of the Night, and Submission of the Night, were off the charts.

Fight of the Night: Ysidro Gutierrez and Art Hernandez

Submission of the Night: Rodrigo Lima

Knockout of the Night: Evan Solorio

TPF 33’s results include:

Rodrigo Lima defeated Rolando Velasco by way of guillotine in round 2.

Tony Llamas defeated Sergio Quinones by way of KO in round 2 (1:43).

Mitchell Sipe defeated Chris Lewis by way of KO in round 3 (1:13).

Fard Muhammad defeated Drake Boen by way of unanimous decision.

Lamar Reed defeated Ray Cervera by way of unanimous decision.

Ysidro Gutierrez defeated Art Hernandez by way of unanimous decision.

Muhammed Usman defeated Van Palacio by way of TKO in round 1.

Jose Avalos defeated Devon Chavez by way of doctor’s stoppage in round 1.

Evan Solorio defeated Garrett Marks by way of KO in round 1 (:28).

TPF 33 *Live Results*

The front office at Tachi Palace Fights (TPF) finalized their upcoming event—TPF 33, a mid-week melee set for November 2, 2017, which is so stacked with talent: MMA enthusiasts are clamoring for the curtain to close on the weekend. TPF 33 will be streamed from the belly of Tachi Palace Casino & Hotel in Lemoore, California to YouTube (link here), and the fourteen gladiators slated on the card would suggest: missing TPF’s latest edition would be more frightening than any ghouls or goblins experienced only days prior.

Cody Garbrandt Really Did Drop TJ Dillashaw in Practice

Actions speak louder than words, and the UFC’s Bantamweight Champion, Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt, stamped every one of his syllables leading into UFC 217 with a bold exclamation point after releasing footage of his knockdown of former teammate, and current contender, TJ Dillashaw.

By releasing this undocumented, until now, sparring session, all the sticks-and-stones Dillashaw claimed Garbrandt was throwing were shattered into splinters and gravel with a heavy right hand.

Adding insult to a concussive injury, Garbrandt recommended the UFC’s President, Dana White, should prepare the bonus check he intends to collect on November 4, 2017 after defending his 135-pound title.
