Epic Fighting 36: Team Alpha Male vs. Jackson Wink MMA

Five of Team Alpha Male’s amateurs will load up the team bus and travel to the southern tip of California to meet the best that Jackson Wink MMA has to offer at Epic Fighting 36.

Epic Fighting, an all amateur MMA promotion housed in San Diego, has been experimenting with the concept of pitting one team against another. On November 10, 2017, Team Alpha Male, the elite squadron from Northern California, will assess where they fall in the pecking order of world class gyms by releasing their developing prospects from the nest to face New Mexico’s Jackson Wink MMA.

The representatives from Team Alpha Male include: David Klingsheim at flyweight, Amir Kazemi at bantamweight, Moses Daniyelyan at featherweight, Kaleio Romero at lightweight, and Daniel Zaragoza at middleweight.

If you’re unable to attend the Four Points Sheraton, pay close attention to the aftermath because in the last installment of Epic Fighting, the results were memorable. For instance, Kaleio Romero, in his first fight flying Team Alpha Male’s flag, suplexed his opponent into an unconscious state.

‘KO’ Kaleio Romero: Five-Point KO at Epic Fighting 35

About a year ago, ‘KO’ Kaleio Romero earned his nickname like stripes on a Jiu-Jitsu belt, and the undefeated prospect stamped his poetic alter ego on Epic Fighting’s canvas with the head of Christian Stolp at Epic Fighting 35.

At Nor Cal Fight Series (NCFS) 3, ‘KO’ was birthed with a right hand that left his opponent dead in the water—at least without the referee’s intervention.

Since joining Team Alpha Male, the new wrinkles in Romero’s game allowed him to smash Stolp flat on August 18, 2017. Romero’s sacrificial suplex at the thirty-five second mark knocked the warm body placed before him out cold.

Here Comes TAM’s AMs at Epic Fighting 35

A wave of amateurs from Team Alpha Male (TAM) plan to crash upon San Diego’s shoreline with the force of a tsunami at Epic Fighting 35 on August 18, 2017.

Inside the Four Points Sheraton, Daniel Zaragoza, Andrew Coyne, Luke Folkens, David Klingsheim, Josiah McHale, Amir Nasser Kazemi, and Kaleio Romero will carry the lessons drilled into their muscle memory from many of MMA’s masters under the roof of TAM.

Danny Castillo, TAM’s Wrestling Coach and longtime veteran of the sport, gushed with pride when posting a pre-fight picture of the amateur squadron on his Instagram:
