August 11, 2018—Bear River Casino & Resort celebrated their thirteenth anniversary with a bang. Instead of firing a colorful pyrotechnic display into Humboldt County’s sky, Bear River Fighting Championship contracted amateur and professional mixed martial artists to create fireworks on the canvas inside the Casino’s Recreation Center for their sixth, stellar event: Bear River FC 6.
The talent in California’s northern-most parts, such as those representing Mendocino Training Center (MTC) or Arcata’s Lost Boys, couldn’t remain hidden forever. No matter how each competitor attempted to topple their opponent—either chopping them down to size with strikes or bulldozing them into the ground using powerful grappling—like a tree in the forest, no sound would be heard over the crowd’s deafening screams of carnal delight throughout the Night.
