NorCal MMA’s KO of the Month for June

A little over a year away from the cage, Michael Bueno closed the month of June with a knockout that he—nor anyone else in attendance for Bay Area Combat (BAC) 2—won’t soon forget.

BAC 2 was Napa, California’s first taste of mixed martial arts, and those inside wine country’s Napa Valley Expo appeared eager to add the all-amateur promotion to its annual collection, especially in the dramatic wake of the welterweight contest between Bueno and Tauheed Safi.

While Safi spent the majority of the opening round threatening Bueno’s legs with a submission, the middle frame finished—after only four-seconds!—following a thunderous uppercut from Bueno, dropping Safi where he stood.

As a prospect on the rise, this threat out of Team Santos BJJ and El Niño Training Center has the potential to continue making memories with his fists every time he steps within MMA’s canvased field of play.
