Twitter Reacts to Nohelin Hernandez and Vince Cachero at #LFA30

Although the loss column in Nohelin ‘Suave’ Hernandez’s record added another tally, everyone walked away a winner—as noted by the digital footprint left on Twitter—after witnessing his clash with Vince ‘The Anamoly’ Cachero at LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance) 30.

Of course, the Tale of the Tape detailed a stark contrast in Hernandez’s height, reach, and experience over Cachero, but when these two were locked in LFA’s Octagon, it was difficult, especially based upon similarly colored attire and facial expressions wearing desire, to discern one 135-pounder from the other:

A stat invisible to viewers of the AXS TV broadcast: Hernandez accepted his opportunity at LFA 30 on two-weeks notice. In Hernandez’s young career, he has bounced between 135 and 145-pounds—even attaining the featherweight belt at URCC (Universal Reality Combat Championship)—but the dramatic drop to the bantamweight division in such a short span appeared, at least to those familiar with his style, to subtract the normal skip from the Bay Area native’s step.

Cachero peppered Hernandez early in the opening frame, yet Hernandez maintained his methodical march forward. When Cachero continued to catch Hernandez with his winging strikes and straighter combinations, it truly was an anomaly for the product of American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) to not be able to deliver his own batch of punishment. Before the close of round-one, a gorgeous flying knee from ‘Suave’ leveled the playing field.

The remaining ten-minutes blurred together with strikes, blood, and raucous cheers from inside the Costa Mesa Hall OC Fair & Event Center. As the final seconds dwindled away, an intense flurry punctuated the affair as the most exciting back-and-forth of the evening:

Unfortunately, LFA doesn’t cut checks to the mixed martial artists who hypnotize onlookers with hearts of gladiators, such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but those following along on Twitter believed Hernandez and Cachero deserved some financial compensation for their efforts and may share the cage with one another again in the future:
