559 Fights 59: Results & Recap

September 16, 2017Although numerous split-decisions were registered on paper at 559 Fights 59, the athletes featured on the all-amateur fight card unanimously competed with intentions of evading the evaluations of others.

Main Event: Nick Maximov defeated Albert Gonzales for the 559 Fights Middleweight Title

For all three rounds, Maximov, a master on the mat, suffocated Gonzales in his domain. Fortunately for Gonzales, Maximov was unable to secure the finish—something four previous opponents can’t claim, yet there was no escaping the Chico native’s grasp.

Gabrielle Lopez defeated Toodie Marshall by way of split-decision.

Lisa Mauldin defeated Allison Oldfield by way of split-decision.

Rob McClenny defeated Joseph Robinson by way of guillotine choke in round 3.

Joey Martinez defeated Elisha Soliz by way of split-decision.

559 Fights will return for their sixtieth show on October 14, 2017 at the Tower Theater in Fresno, California.
