GKO 10: Preview

The mixed martial artists featured on Global Knockout’s upcoming card, GKO 10, may not possess universally acclaimed notoriety—at least not yet, but the attitudes of these gladiators are unrivaled—at least within this plane of reality.

Weeks, even days, prior to GKO 10 on August 5, 2017, match-ups were still being shuffled and solidified. In the end, GKO 10, even after many turbulent transitions, shaped into a stacked deck of talent. Staged in Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort’s outdoor venue, the only twinkling more bright than the night sky will be the eyes of future stars in the sport with their hands raised in victory.

Main Event: Jamall ‘Pretty Boy’ Emmers (11-3) vs. Erick Sanchez (8-3) in the featherweight division

Known as ‘Pretty Boy,’ Emmers is better recognized throughout the fight scene for turning his opponent into an ugly, mangled mess. A two-fight win-streak and training out of Pinnacle MMA could mean a successful venture into enemy territory at GKO 10 will skyrocket Emmers toward the top of the heap at 145-pounds.

Following two-decisions—one loss, one win—at Combate Americas, there wasn’t a hint of hesitation that went into Sanchez scribbling his signature on the contract to appear at GKO 10. Representing Team Alpha Male, Sanchez plans to express the superiority of his craft with a gorgeous finish.

Co-Main Event: Justin ‘The Raw Deal’ Baesman (19-13-1) vs. Brandon ‘The Beast’ Hester (3-0) in the middleweight division

Instead of focusing on a skid of five learning lessons in a row, Baesman, on late-notice, bounds into a fresh opportunity with even fresher blood at the professional ranks. Formerly GKO’s Middleweight Champion, the member of FightKore MMA returns to GKO, desirous to rush back toward the promotion’s gold.

When everyone presumed ‘The Raw Deal’ was bad business for Hester, Hester, a monster constructed at AKA (American Kickboxing Academy), didn’t bat an eye. A multiple of eleven separates the experience between Hester and Baesman, but ‘The Beast’ believes the difference, as most MMA math works, won’t subtract from his unbeaten record.

GKO 10 also includes:

Mike Morales vs. Buddy Wallace in the welterweight division

Nohelin Hernandez vs. Fierce Taylor in the bantamweight division

Martin Sandoval vs. Josh Paiva in the flyweight division

Eric Smith vs. Chad Henekom in the middleweight division

Tyler Milner vs. Angelo Trevino in a catchweight bout

Sinjen Smith vs. David Douglas in the welterweight division

Elizabeth Mogollan vs. Tiffany Conoma in the strawweight division

Jamie Thorton vs. Diana Atkin in the strawweight division

Isaiah Gonzalez vs. Chris Inocencio in the bantamweight division

Ana Palacios vs. Nelida Martinez in the atomweight division
