Muay Thai California 3: Results & Recap

The only thing more picturesque than the Unify Event Center in San Jose, California with elegantly draped ring card girls at Muay Thai California (MTC) 3 on April 29, 2017 were the violent brushstrokes using the art of eight limbs between the bells.

MTC 3 Results:

Matt Baker (2-0) defeated Donald Roberson (3-1) by way of split-decision to become MTC’s Light Cruiserweight Champion.

Sonny Sing (2-0) defeated Chris Burgett (1-2) in the middleweight division by way of corner’s stoppage due to a cut.

Raj Patel (2-0) defeated Gabe David (0-1) in the featherweight division by way of unanimous decision.

Davin Panisi-Clark (1-0) defeated Ignacio Zambrano (0-1) in the featherweight division by way of TKO.

Sean Climactic (8-2) defeated Andrew Capuro (10-9) by way of TKO to become MTC’s Super Lightweight Champion.

Audrey Reyes (5-0) defeated Shanna Gozo (5-1) by way of TKO to become MTC’s Women’s Featherweight Champion.

John Hurney (8-2) defeated Rod Williams (4-3-1) in the light cruiserweight division by way of KO.

Janet Garcia (4-2) defeated Meggan Taman (6-3) in the atomweight division.

Alexis Casillas (4-2) defeated Manny Keo (3-3) in the super lightweight division.

Thai-Nigan Le (5-3) defeated Jill Guido-Jacob (8-5) in the flyweight division by way of unanimous decision.

Joanna Marquez (3-1) defeated Jacklyn Carlos (2-3) in the atomweight division by way of split-decision.

Kevin Cummings (1-0) defeated Brian Tyler (0-2) in the welterweight division by way of referee stoppage.

Matt Cox (3-0) defeated Eddie Perez (0-1) in the super lightweight division by way of referee stoppage.

Chris Haley (1-1) defeated Shuo Li (1-1) in the middleweight division by way of KO.

Jeff McHenry (2-0) defeated Kevin Tran (1-0) in the super middleweight division by way of KO.

Jasmine Peterson (1-1) defeated Ashley Curry (1-1) in the super welterweight division by way of split-decision.

Chris Lopez (1-0) defeated Noah Bellingham (1-1) in the middleweight division by way of split-decision.

Luckily, fight fans won’t be forced to put their interest for Muay Thai action on ice for long because Muay Thai Global (MTG) plans to return and set Northern California’s neck of the woods in flames with MTG Series 12 on June 7, 2017 at the Lions Gate Hotel.
