The co-main event at Global Knockout (GKO) on March 18, 2017 is a rematch between Justin ‘The Raw Deal’ Baesman (19-11-1) and Angel ‘The Dream’ DeAnda (16-5)—this time for the GKO Middleweight Title.
Earlier this year—May 19th, these menacing middleweights out of Northern California met at: Tachi Palace Fights 27; the outcome was a nightmare for Baesman. Shortly into the second frame, DeAnda landed a dreamy combination that left Baesman sleepwalking.
Since their springtime clash, both DeAnda and Baesman have returned to action: Baesman on the raw end of scorecards, dropping decisions at Dragon House 23 and Bellator 165; whereas, DeAnda picked up a unanimous decision victory in his last appearance to the Jackson Rancheria Casino & Resort for GKO 8, extending his winning streak to a hat-trick.
Will The Last Stand Fight Team’s DeAnda be the last man standing at GKO 9 as the new 185-pound king, or will the championship campaign of Baesman, out of Folklore MMA, carry on as folklore? MMA’s unpredictability continually reminds its followers: You may think you know how everything will play out, but then, the bell rings.
